EDUC 232 - Child Growth and Development II

(3 credits)
Addresses physical, psychological, cognitive and affective human development from middle childhood through adolescence; emphasis is placed on middle school aged child, and adolescence. Included in this course is consideration of the development of the young ELL, children with disabilities and those children who come from diverse backgrounds. Health related issues are discussed. Clinical experiences will be provided in Head Start, pre-k classrooms, elementary schools and in high schools. Prerequisite:  . Fall. Students will be assigned five hours of clinical experience in an area school or educational setting.
