PA 530 - Internal Medicine I

(4 credits)

Under the supervision of the site preceptor, the student will refine history-taking and physical exam skills and learn to further identify abnormal findings on examination in an adult population. He/she will gain proficiency in ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and developing a diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan. With experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, the student will be able to recognize emergent, acute, and chronic diagnoses and participate in the necessary continuity of care for each.
