PSYC 200 - Quantitative Research Methods (3 credits) This course is an introduction to research methods in psychology with particular focus on quantitative methods. The principles apply to research with human subjects in a variety of disciplines. Specific objectives include becoming familiar with varying research methodologies and particular problems inherent to specific areas of psychological research, identifying when causal conclusions are warranted, learning how research is conducted through all phases of the research process, analyzing and critically evaluating research results, communicating the results of research with others, and understanding ethical standards. Students are recommended to take Math 101 prior to enrolling in this course. Prerequisites: ; or ; recommended. As needed.
