Program Description:

The Biology Minor provides students the opportunity to add advanced study in the biological sciences to their degree program.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this minor, students will be able to:

• Employ the scientific method, including the use of discipline-specific techniques, to discover and validate biological knowledge.
• Demonstrate scientific literacy through reading, writing, presenting, and discussing research.
• Explain key theories and concepts in biology that are fundamental to current scientific understanding of the field, and applies these ideas to new situations.
