Global Cultures and Languages Minor

Minor Requirements:

Any language at the 202 level:

American Sign Language (ASL), French, German, Italian, Latin, Spanish, or another language (taken at another university or from an accredited study abroad program, or though the CLEP exam)

Language:

Any other language at the 102/112 level or higher or
LANG 103 - Language, Culture, and Communication

Three additional courses from the following:

ENGL 207 - History of the English Language
HIST 337 - Topics in Modern Middle Eastern History
HIST 339 - Topics in African History
HIST 350 - Race and Ethnicity in U.S. History
LANG 103 - Language, Culture, and Communication (if not already used as a 2nd language option)
RLST 306 - Religions of the World
RLST 450 - Religion in Mexico (Religion in Mexico)
SOC 105
SOC 402 - Cultural Diversity or
SCWK 402 - Cultural Diversity in American Society
SOC 450 - Special Topics Seminar (Sociology of Art & Inequality offered in Mexico)
SPAN 312 - Latin American Cultural Studies
An additional 3 credits in foreign language at any level
Study abroad in any accredited program (ex. Ireland or any CCSA program, Quebec, Mexico, Italy, etc.)
