PT 624 - Motor Control and Advanced Exercise Prescription (2 credits) This course will provide students with a theoretical basis and historical overview of motor learning and its application to motor skill acquisition. A framework upon which to build therapeutic interventions will be emphasized and will include the basic tenets of the relation of task, individual, and environment and motor skill acquisition, practice schedules, and the role of feedback. Case studies will be used to foster application across patient populations and the continuum of care. Spring.
