PT 641 - Psychosocial Aspects of Patient Care (3 credits) Psychological and social aspects of patient care are significant factors influencing recovery for a patient. This course will examine and discuss a myriad of psychosocial issues facing the physical therapist, patient, family, caregivers, and health care team. A key component in providing care to others is having an understanding of one’s own biases and limitations. Introspection to develop self-awareness, and patient-practitioner interaction will be emphasized. Fall.
