BIOL 407 - Biochemistry II(same as BCHM 407 and CHEM 407) (3 credits)
The course presents an overview of the metabolic transformations of fatty acids, complex lipids, and the purine and pyrimidine nucleotides. The course provides an introduction to regulatory molecules; the molecular basis of genetics, including DNA and RNA metabolism; protein biosynthesis; the biochemical basis of recombinant DNA methodology. Three lecture periods. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 405 . Spring.
