WRIT 385 - Advanced Composition (3 credits) A focus on the nonfiction genres of writing designed to enlighten or persuade public, professional, and academic audiences. Genres could include reviews, articles, and creative nonfiction. Students will analyze the types of arguments and styles used in these genres in order to incorporate such strategies in their own writing. Recommended for any student hoping to pursue employment in a writing intensive field or graduate studies. Students who earn a grade of C or higher in WRIT 385 are exempt from taking the Writing Competency Exam (WCE). Prerequisite(s): WRIT 102 . As needed.
