NURS 478 - Management, Leadership, and Quality Care for RNs

(4 credits: 3 credits lecture; 1 credit clinical)
This course focuses on organizational and systems management, and leadership skills that are essential for quality improvement and care coordination within interprofessional teams. An emphasis will be place on the ability to identity, assess, and evaluate system-based practice across various health care settings. Students will engage in quality improvement processes and outcome measures to improve the quality and safety of care. Prerequisite(s):  NURS 476 - Information Management and Application of Patient Care Technologies for RNs  ; NURS 471 - Professional Nursing Concepts for RNs  ; NURS 472 - Information Literacy and Writing Skills for RNs   Summer.
