FERM 207 - Fermentation Chemistrysame as CHEM207 (4 credits) An introduction to the chemistry of fermentation in both beverages and food. The organic chemistry of fermentation and the analytical chemistry to analyze the materials will be the focus of the course. Students will learn by creating and analyzing fermented materials. Three lecture periods and one four-hour laboratory. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 122 . Corequisite(s): CHEM 221 . Fall.
