PHIL 406 - American Philosophy (3 credits) Study of the American pragmatist movement which focuses on the value and importance of philosophy for ordinary life; theories and ideas must be practical and be embodied in concrete human experience. Investigation of some basic writings of Charles Pierce, William James, and John Dewey. Prerequisite: PHIL 205 . As needed.
