The evolution and exercise of presidential power. Presidential elections. Presidential leadership. How are the two related? Emphasis on constitutional origins, structures, relations with Congress and the courts, presidential character, the role of television, and other timely issues. Prerequisite: PLSC 102 . Fall, even-numbered years.
