STAT 301 - Quantitative Business Analysis I (3 credits) The first of two courses which, when combined, investigate basic descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques and their application in business and economic decision situations. Topics include the collection and presentation of data; measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion; probability and probability distributions (discrete and continuous); sampling and sampling distributions; point and interval estimation, and hypothesis tests involving a single sample mean or a single sample proportion.
