Italian Studies Minor

The Italian Studies Minor will deepen students’ understanding of the world of Saint Francis of Assisi. Completing the circle of a true liberal education, the minor consists of intermediate-level courses in the language itself, Italian Cinema and Literature, and studies of current cultural issues. Eighteen credits, including an approved immersion experience in Italy, are required. Students may choose from the following experiences to fulfill the immersion requirement:
- Springtime in Italy
- Internship in Parma, Italy*
- Parma exchange program
*These are internships of varying length. Professional internships are available for all students in over a dozen fields of study. (6 credits)

Additional Requirements:
The existing courses listed here, organized by discipline, will contribute to the completion of the 18-credit Minor in Italian Studies. It should be noted that some of the courses listed can only be completed during the Springtime in Italy experience.
